Foodshare Pensarn
Community food sharing scheme based at Canolfan Dewi Sant
The FoodShare Club in Old Colwyn, Pensarn and in Rhyl provides members with up to £15-worth of food in return for a membership fee of £3.50 a week.
The food provided will be a combination of:
- Donated food items – purchased by those who support the FoodShare;
- Food past its “best by” date, but still suitable for eating safely;
- Surplus food donated by local supermarkets – it may be damaged stock (dented tins or broken outer packages, for example), or it may be close to or past its “best by” date as above.
- Food items purchased by the FoodShare in bulk from discount warehouses or distributors.
Membership is open to anyone from the Colwyn Bay / Old Colwyn area, Abergele and Pensarn or Rhyl and the surrounding area and beyond – all you need to do is turn up, sign up, and pick up your food every week! You can also support the FoodShare by donating food at our various donation points.
